Join the Kids' Summer Reading Club (SRC) at the Port Moody Public Library! This free, fun program keeps your kids reading all summer long. By participating in the Kids' SRC, your readers will be able to discover new books, get awesome reading recommendations, participate in fantastic programs, and earn a medal in an exciting ceremony!
This year's theme is Under The Sea.
How does the Summer Reading Club work?
Stop by the Information Desk to pick up your Summer Reading Club package. This package has everything you need to track your summer reading, including a reading record and weekly stickers.
The goal of the Summer Reading Club is to read for 15 minutes a day for 49 days. Track each day of reading on the reading record, adding a sticker for every week of reading.
Kids can read independently or have someone read to them. Readers can choose what they want to read: graphic novels, non-fiction, audiobooks, eBooks, picture books, or chapter books. Everything counts!
Kids who complete 49 days of reading can earn a medal! There will be a special medal ceremony in the Inlet Theatre on Saturday, August 15 from 1:00–2:30 PM.
If you are unable to attend the ceremony, medals will be available for pickup at the Information Desk starting August 16.
